Follow the pack instructions

Powder, water and scoop quantities can differ between products and recipes. Adding milk or other ingredients changes the prepared meal’s nutrition and allergens. Catalogue values do not include your additions.

Storage is product-specific

Huel’s own usage guide states up to 24 hours in the fridge for the prepared Huel described by that guide. We do not apply that time to other brands, other product versions or opened ready-to-drink bottles. Always follow the current pack and manufacturer’s instructions.

Check before buying

Does it need chilling? Can it be mixed with cold water? Do you need a shaker? How should opened powder or a bottle be stored? Information missing from the catalogue needs to be checked with the manufacturer.

A simple routine before mixing

Read serving instructions and storage labelling before opening the pack. Use a clean mixing container and measure the amount of powder stated in the instructions. Check whether the manufacturer recommends adding water or powder first.

A scoop from another brand may not hold the correct amount. If the instructions specify grams, the amount should match that weight. Note the product and flavour if you are trying several products at the same time.

Separate dry storage from prepared drinks

Dry powder and a prepared shake are in different states. Do not assume the bag’s shelf life applies to the mixture. For a ready-to-drink bottle, distinguish instructions for unopened and opened products.

Before taking a shake with you, check storage during travel, instructions after opening or mixing, and whether you can follow them. If labelling is unclear, ask the manufacturer rather than using a general time limit from a different product.
